Meet Our Coordinators
Amber Walker, MA, BCBA
Amber received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Connecticut State University, where she was first introduced to the world of Behavior Analysis. She became a BCaBA in 2004 and then a BCBA in 2006 after earning her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis and Developmental Disabilities. Amber joined Creative Interventions in 2010, assisting in the expansion of services to our Southeast region. She currently provides clinical consultation to various interdisciplinary teams across a variety of settings including; homes, schools, and community locations. Additionally, Amber provides leadership to a dedicated team of professionals, including several RBTs, BCBAs and a BCaBA.
Diane began working for Creative Interventions in 2014. She is a BCBA consultant and Clinical Coordinator of Behavioral Services. Diane has a passion for working with children and young adults. Her career encompasses more than 14-years’ experience working with children with Autism (ranging in age from 18 months through young adulthood), children with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, conduct disorders, ADHD, emotional disturbance, and children with multiple disabilities. Diane’s experience includes several years’ experience providing consultative services and training to school districts in the practices of Applied Behavior Analysis, in home ABA services for birth to three and school aged children and social skills instruction for adolescents.
Diane earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Westfield State University. In addition to her graduate studies in Special Education, she attended PENN State and Endicott College online earning coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis. She finished her ABA coursework and supervision at St. Joseph’s University in West Hartford CT. It is her desire to pursue further studies in a Doctoral Program in Applied Behavior Analysis.
In her free time, Diane enjoys spending time with her children and family, attending sporting events, traveling, kayaking, yoga and reading. Diane is very active in her community, presently serving on her local school board and volunteering as the president of the Special Education Parent Advisory Council in her town.
Lauren Jackson, MA, BCBA
Lauren Jackson has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Saint Joseph College and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from American International College. She attended Westfield State University's BCBA certificate program to become a Behavior Analyst. She has been working with children diagnosed with Autism or other developmental disabilities of all ages for 10 years. Lauren has been with Creative Interventions since 2014 and is the Clinical Coordinator of Behavioral Services for our Region 2 area. Lauren's primary responsibilities include providing direct and consultative services to children, parents, and families as well as conducting Functional Behavior Assessments for schools in CT as well as MA. She also acts as that Service Coordinator for some of her Birth to Three cases. In addition to being a Clinical Coordinator, Lauren provides training, support and direction to ABA, Lead Therapists, and Service Coordinators as a Team Supervisor.
Melanie Varian, BCaBA
Melanie Varian received her B.A. in Child Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Eastern Connecticut State University. She received her graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas and is currently a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. She has been with Creative Interventions since 2006.
Krystina Gilhuly, MS, BCBA
Krystina received her Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Joseph College in Psychology with a Minor in Disabilities Studies. Her Master’s Degree was in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism from Sage College. During her Master’s Program, she was a Student Representative for the Association for Behavior Analysis International. She has worked in private out-placement schools and public schools. Before working a Creative Interventions, she was a BCBA for a school district consulting with a district-wide autism program, providing in-home consultation and individual school-based consultation cases. She is now the Clinical Coordinator of Outreach for Creative Interventions. Krystina has provided training to therapists in Indonesia, Kenya, and the Czech Republic through the Global Autism Project. She enjoys gardening and is an avid swimmer.
Kate Giampetruzzi MS, OTR/L
Kate Giampetruzzi has a Bachelors in Science and a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Duquesne University. She has been with Creative Interventions since 2009. Kate is the clinical coordinator of related services and is a team supervisor. Her primary responsibilities include providing direct in-home occupational therapy services, providing direction and consultation to families and teams regarding OT strategies/interventions, and acting as liaison for independent contractors. Kate currently lives in Waterbury, CT with her husband Nick, and two children, Samantha and Louis.
Justine Randall, MS Ed., BCBA
Justine Randall received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Merrimack College and a Master’s of Science in Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from Bay Path University. She currently holds certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Her professional experience includes providing a variety of direct and consultative behavior analytic services in home based, public school, and early intervention settings across Massachusetts and Connecticut. Justine has been with Creative Interventions since 2013 and currently serves as the Coordinator of School Age Services. In this capacity, she assists in the development of policies and procedures designed to ensure quality service provision and maintains ongoing oversight and organization of services across insurance, private, and school district contracts. Justine has a particular interest in social validity and caregiver training as they relate to clinical outcomes.
Chelsea Richards, MS, BCBA - Staff Development Coordinator
A southern girl at heart, Chelsea received her Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. After completing her undergraduate degree, she moved up to New England to purse her masters degree; receiving a master’s degree in Autism Spectrum Disorder with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis from from The College of Our Lady of Elms. She has been with Creative Interventions since 2012. Chelsea enjoys training others in the field and helping staff to grow in their abilities. Chelsea’s primary responsibly include ongoing staff training, oversight of social skills groups, consultative services to school districts, families and providing direct services to her clients. In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys hiking with her fiancé, traveling to Charleston, SC to spend time with her family, and reading books at local coffee shops.
Kathleen Satalino - Staff Development Coordinator
Kathleen began her first steps in this field while working as a paraprofessional in school and summer camp settings. Since being introduced to ABA in 2007, Kathleen knew this was the field for her. Kathleen received her undergraduate degree from Alfred University in 2007 and is currently in pursuit of her masters and BCBA credentials from Bay Path University. She joined Creative Interventions in 2009 and has been fortunate to grow within the agency since then.
Kathleen is dedicated to supporting families with their specific goals and is committed to the individualized services that our agency provides. Kathleen’s primary responsibilities include providing direct ABA services to children and families, as well as providing training and supports to dedicated teams of professionals. Kathleen has experience working in the home, school, community, and institutional settings. Additionally, as a member of the Staff Development team, Kathleen provides ongoing staff training and support to those within the agency. Supporting other’s knowledge and growth within the field of ABA is her passion. She is thankful for the opportunity to work with the most dedicated, fun and passionate professionals in the field. Working with her colleagues and clients at Creative is the most rewarding aspect of her job. Kathleen lives in Southington with her husband, Matthew, their 2 cats, Austin and Jaxon and their dog, Dallas. Kathleen enjoys hiking with her dog, spending time with her family and friends, as well painting and crafting.
Marsha Doyle, MS, BCBA - Clinical Coordinator of Staff Development
Marsha Doyle has a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from Bay Path University. She has been with Creative Interventions since 2008. Marsha is the Clinical Coordinator of Staff Development here at Creative Interventions and an ABA Supervisor at Bay Path University. She enjoys training others in the field and those who want to learn more. Marsha’s primary responsibilities include ongoing staff training, consultative services to school districts, consultation to families and direct services to children. Her family has grown since her time with Creative; she lives in Enfield with her husband Ryan and 3 children, Andrew, Jacob and little princess Riley. In addition to her passion for ABA she has an unrivaled passion for everything Disney.
